Featuring a wonderful creation!

I wish I could say this was my creation, however not the case. This beautiful Fall appliqued pillow was created by Allison over at Cluck Cluck Sew. Be sure to visit her blog and see her easy to follow tutorial on this beautiful pillow covering.
I just love fall and all the warm beautiful colors associated with the season, don't you?

I may have just found use for those pillows I have stored away in my yard sale stash .Time to bust out the machine.

Fabric Pumpkins

I haven't done anything crafty in awhile and was really itching to do so.
So, I decided to try and make some of the fabric pumpkins I had seen around on different blogs.
These were fairly easy to make and requires very little sewing skills.

All you need to do it cut out a circle from some fabric and stitch a gathering stitch all the way around the edge of the circle and pull to gather forming a bowl like shape and fill with fiberfill, heck Im sure you could even skip the fiberfill and used crumbled up news paper.
After you get the desired amount of filling, gather tightly and stitch, making sure to leaving a small opening for a stem. Glue the stem in with glue, I used my hot glue gun.
Then decorate to your liking, again gluing everything with my glue gun.. I cut the leaves and the spider from the doodlecharm cartridge, used a cuttlebug embossing folder on the leaves and ran in through the cuttlebug, inked all of them with brown ink and lightly brushed with Perfect Pearls. If you have any questions just leave me a comment and I wish gladly get back to ya!

Oh, I almost forgot Kara over at Creations by Kara is having a Fall linky party, check it out here.

Hideous Hutch...Please help!

I mentioned yesterday about the built-in hutch I want to paint and I'm not sure what color I should do. My dining room table is black. Should I paint it black, will that be too much black, how much is too much black? I'm planning on leaving the top doors with the glass off and maybe wallpapering the inside of the shelving area. The bottom doors and drawers will be fixed in some way to where you don't see the details on them, maybe like I did the kitchen cabinets, plus add new hardware.

Please give me your ideas, I'm really lost on this one, maybe because I'm not sure I'd be satisfied with whatever I do to this ugly thing!

Krylon spray paint

I love to find old pieces like this,5 Bucks from a yard sale..

and with a little work and KSP turn them into this..

Now I need to find a cute lamp and a accessory or two.

I want to tackle the built-in china cabinet that my Dear Husband won't let me take out, it's so out dated and I truly hate it, but I guess they have to have their way sometimes, right?
I will post before pictures soon and hopefully get some suggestions.
