Walk in my Garden

I was playing around this evening with the " Walk in my Garden" cartridge and made a magnet. This was my first time using Tim Holtz's distress ink and I really like it. The color used here was tea stain. All the paper used was from the Old World collection from DCWV... I LOVE IT!!
If you have any questions about this project feel free to ask.
I made another trip to Michael's today and bought a few things....... Oh boy! I think I need to get a job to support this new addiction ;)
Oh, did I mention that I have a secret?

Ideas anyone?

I bought several of these little unfinished wood picture holders at Michael's a few weeks ago and had intended on doing them for Mother's Day gifts but didn't get around to it. I did however make some makeup bags with matching tissue holders and key fobs. I wish I had taken pictures. Anyhow, I need some ideas on how to decorate these.
Any thoughts?

Ahhhh ha!!! I have an idea ;)

These were so fun and easy

I went to Lowe's and bought some ceramic tiles for about .65 cents each and decoupaged pictures and images printed out from my printer with modge podge. I also used decorative paper from DCWV (Die cuts with a view) and printed out the quote on the Sister tile and tea stained the paper to make it look aged.
When they dried I spray a few coats of sealer I buy from Walmart for about 1.50 a can.
You can buy a little metal easel to display them as shown in the pictures.
The first one I made for a Yorkie lover friend and the second one I made to give to my Sister Barbara when she came from Oklahoma for a visit.

These make nice gifts which can be personalized many, many ways, best of all just for under a few bucks!
I used to this technique to make a set of coasters too using smaller tiles.

Anticipating the arrival....

While I wait for my bug to arrive I have been searching the net and watching many videos pertaining to the cricut. My favorite one I have come across so far is Robyn's Blog "
THE PINK STAMPER" She has many videos showing different project, tips, and reviews.
Here is her blog, it's very informative.

OK, This can be addicting!

My husband was in Nevada for the week so I went to Michael's in search of something to occupy my time, I stumbled onto the scrap booking isle really not knowing what I was looking for . I saw this pack of bookmarks (pre cut), I think there were like 50 to a pack for 2 bucks. I also bought a few packs of stickers.
I got home and Googled different quotes and came up with these :)
Lining them up and printing them out was the biggest challenge for me so next time I'll use cardstock paper and do several to a sheet and use my cutter to cut to bookmark size.
I also made a corner bookmark (pictured on the right) I found a tutorial here..

Well, needless to say I have found myself a new hobby and decided to buy a cricut create machine which will be here next week on the 26th. CANT WAIT!
I won it on ebay for 100 bucks! Wooo hooo!!! Check it out.
