Kitchen makeover

Before picture...can u say UGLY!

This has taken me forever to get done and it's almost there!!! I just have to paint the trim above the countertop and behind the fridge.... boy, this has been a back breaking experience for me, but the end results are so worth it to me and you will see why in the before and after pictures below. It's a far cry from a designer kitchen....none the less , I LOVE IT! because it was such a challenge for me, as I have mentioned before I love making some yucky into something we can enjoy.
it's hard to believe that this are the same particle board cabinets. I filled in the etching with putty, sanded it down, the primed, wallpapered, primed ,and painted them, so much work, my the end result is so much more pleasing to the eye, don't ya think?

The above picture is of the kitchen when we bought this mobile home in 2007 when real estate was through the roof, we paid 150 grand ( can you believe that ?) for the 1978 MH on it's own lot. Right now it's probably worth a lot less and we could get a nice home for that price in today's market....oh well.

I would love to hear your comments!

Lizzy, your new kitchen is FABULOUS!!!! Wow, are you hiring out to do kitchens, 'cause I'd love to have you do mine. You did an awesome job! It's so modern and up-to-date now and you've increased the worth of your home by thousands. Some of the nicest people I know live in "modular homes" (my aunt's name for a MH). Great kitchen, Lizzy!

Mary

Your kitchen looks great! I love the white, it looks so clean and crisp and is easy to change the accent colors!
The font in the last set of blocks was Kristen, just from Word. I don't know which cartridge, because I ordered them from a lady I know. Thanks for the sewing machine link, I am in the process of going through the steps. I really hope it works!

Okay back to this 98 business, that's crazy! I don't know the conversion but I know for Vancouver, British Columbia this stinks! You couldn't pay me to go to California in the summer time, I cant hack the heat!

Thanks everyone, the more I look at it, I think I should paint the walls a different color, something darker so there is more contrast betwwen the walls and the cabinets. What do ya'll think? What color?
